As the weather continues to get colder, snowfall will eventually follow to southeastern Pennsylvania.  While snow covered roofs look beautiful, if your roof is not ready for the snow it could cost you big time.  Roofs in southeastern Pennsylvania last about 20 years, so it’s important to get it examined by a professional when it starts to age.

Stains on the Roof

If you notice stains on the ceiling of the home this is an obvious sign of leaking.  These issues should be fixed as soon as possible.

Shingles Falling Off

Another sign of aging can be seen if there are any pieces of shingles in the gutters or downspouts. If you are finding these pieces of shingles then it is probably best to contact a professional to further inspect your roof.

Sagging Roof

If you find that your roof is sagging there could be significant damage to the wood structure underneath the shingles. Under heavy snow accumulation your roof could potentially cave in costing you, the homeowner, a lot of money.

There can be a number of different issues for your roof.  If you see anything that does not look normal please call a professional.  Any type of stain, sagging, shingles missing, or cracks in the roof should be attended to as soon as the homeowner can.
